This amazing technology is provided to us by our fantastic Topcon 3D OCT and is an imaging technique that is not readily available on standard OCT scanners.
What Conditions Does Fundus Autofluorescence Help to Diagnose?
Fundus Autofluorescence is an effective method of detecting early signs of retinal disease and can be used as a diagnostic or monitoring tool for hereditary conditions such as Best’s and Stardgard’s disease. It has also been shown to detect early stages of Age-Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD) and is a vital technique when imaging intraocular lesions, such as a Choroidal Naevus.
